Our client is a leading MNC in the maritime sector and they want to recruit:
Electrical Superintendent
Based in Delhi NCR
ORGANISATION:
The role covers marine electrical, automation, and navigation/communication systems, and supports key operational events such as dry-docking, handover/takeover, retrofits, and equipment upgrades—with a sharp focus on uptime, cost discipline, and safety/compliance.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as the shore-based technical point for electrical, automation, navigation and communication systems across assigned vessels
Partner with fleet stakeholders to review planned maintenance, assess operational risk, and define practical maintenance approaches that reduce downtime
Support major vessel activities including dockings, project upgrades, system retrofits, and smooth vessel transitions (handover/takeover)
Build and maintain a structured record of equipment performance: failures, corrective actions, and root-cause learnings—so decisions are data-led, not anecdotal
Contribute to fleet performance improvement by scouting and validating cost-effective technologies that also support emissions/efficiency goals
Prepare annual spend forecasts and budgets within your scope; ensure readiness for upcoming rules/requirements in your technical domain
Drive vendor engagement where needed and work closely with category/procurement teams on vendor performance feedback
Coordinate with procurement to ensure spares/stores are sourced on time and at the right commercial outcome
Ensure smooth internal approvals for requisitions/orders and that invoices linked to your scope are cleared on time
Support commercial decision-making through clear cost/benefit evaluations for repairs, replacements, upgrades, and service agreements
YOUR PROFILE:
Bachelor’s / master’s in electrical engineering (or equivalent) with relevance to marine electrical & automation and/or navigation/communications
Sailing experience as an Electro-Technical Officer with CoC is a must
Shore based experience as an Electrical Superintendent is a must
Minimum 5 years sailing experience on merchant vessels
Strong English communication (written and spoken) with confident stakeholder coordination skills
Self-driven and collaborative working style; able to guide, coach, and support team development
