About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly strategic Group Head – Paid Search to lead and scale our Google Search advertising efforts. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a data-driven mindset to drive performance across all paid search channels with a specific focus on Google Search. As a key member of the marketing leadership team, you will set strategic direction, manage cross-functional teams, and optimize multi-million dollar budgets to fuel growth and maximize ROI.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and own the end-to-end Google Search strategy aligned to business goals (brand awareness, customer acquisition, retention, revenue, profitability).
Set performance targets (CAC, ROAS, conversion rates, etc.) and ensure consistent achievement or outperformance.
Translate business priorities into actionable paid search plans, frameworks, and roadmaps.
Campaign Planning & Execution
Oversee structuring, execution, and optimization of Google Search campaigns across all products and markets.
Lead keyword strategy, bidding tactics (manual, automated, smart bidding), ad copy testing, extensions, audience targeting, and landing page alignment.
Collaborate with analytics and BI teams to define measurement frameworks, attribution models, and reporting governance.
Team Leadership & Development
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing paid search team (junior & senior specialists/analysts).
Foster a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and rigorous performance analysis.
Define team goals, KPIs, performance metrics, and professional development plans.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with growth, SEO, content, product, and data teams to coordinate holistic user acquisition strategies.
Work with finance and business stakeholders to manage budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting.
Influence product and user experience improvements based on search insights and performance data.
Innovation & Best Practices
Stay ahead of Google Ads innovations, industry trends, competitive landscape, and algorithm changes.
Evaluate and integrate emerging paid search tools, technologies, and automation workflows.
Ensure quality and compliance with brand standards, regulatory requirements, and privacy policies.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or similar; MBA preferred.
8+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience
with a strong focus on Paid Search (Google Ads).
Previous experience managing and scaling multi-million dollar PPC budgets.
Proven leadership experience with direct team management responsibilities.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Google Ads, Search Ads 360, Data Studio/Tableau, and Excel.
Sound understanding of attribution modeling, bidding strategies, query optimization, and performance measurement.
