Head Procurement (NBR)

The Head – Procurement (Non-Basmati Rice) will lead large-scale, pan-India procurement of non-basmati rice, ensuring availability, quality, cost efficiency, and supply continuity for high-volume FMCG and Agri business. The role will be accountable for translating business demand into robust sourcing strategies aligned with crop cycles, market intelligence, and long-term margin objectives.

Key responsibilities include building and executing procurement strategies across multiple sourcing hubs, managing large supplier ecosystems (farmers, FPOs, traders, millers), and driving structured procurement programs including contract farming and strategic partnerships. The role will own price discovery, negotiation, risk mitigation, and compliance with food safety, regulatory, and sustainability standards.

The incumbent will work closely with manufacturing, quality, finance, sales, and supply chain teams to enable stable production planning, cost governance, and working capital efficiency. Strong leadership is required to manage regional procurement teams, institutionalize best practices, and build scalable, data-driven procurement processes.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in the non-basmati rice ecosystem, strong commercial acumen, and proven experience managing high-value, high-volume procurement in complex agri or FMCG environments.
