FamSync is a family coordination dashboard that runs on Apple TV, designed to help busy families manage schedules, tasks, meals, and availability from their living room. Think of it as “Skylight Calendar, but on hardware families already own.” We’re building a TV-first experience with companion mobile apps. Tagline:

We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer to own the complete design system and user experience for our tvOS and iOS applications. This is a greenfield project — you’ll be designing from scratch, working directly with the founder. This role is ideal for someone who: Has designed for TV or 10-foot interfaces (strong preference) Loves creating clean, family-friendly experiences Can work independently and deliver production-ready designs Is comfortable with rapid iteration and founder collaboration Key Responsibilities

Create a comprehensive design system (colors, typography, components) for tvOS, AndroidTV and iOS Design all screens and user flows for the TV dashboard app Design companion iOS app screens (setup, mobile access, quick updates) Develop TV-specific interaction patterns (focus states, remote navigation) Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes in Figma Collaborate with developers during implementation for handoff and QA Iterate based on user feedback during beta testing Requirements

Must Have: TV/tvOS/Android TV design experience(Need to have) 3-5 years of professional UI/UX design experience Strong portfolio demonstrating mobile app design (iOS preferred) Expert-level Figma proficiency Understanding of design systems and component-based design Experience designing for different screen sizes and contexts Excellent visual design skills (typography, spacing, color) Strong English communication (written) Nice to Have: Motion design and micro-interaction skills Experience designing family or consumer apps Understanding of accessibility best practices What You’ll Design
