About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Business Finance Associate to join our fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our financial records, preparing critical reports, and ensuring strict compliance with all regulatory requirements.

As our Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by accurately tracking and reporting all financial transactions in a dynamic startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update all financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents. Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. - Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Generate financial reports for management, including cash flow statements. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. - Audit Support: Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits. Provide all necessary documentation and support during audit processes. - Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes. Ensure timely invoicing, payment collection, and vendor payments. Reconcile AP/AR ledgers. - Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings. Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - 1-3 years of proven experience in Finance or in a similar role. - Must have prior experience working in a startup ecosystem. This is essential for understanding our fast-paced and agile environment. - High proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills. - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. - Excellent attention to detail and impeccable organizational skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - The ability to work independently and as a proactive part of a team.
