Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced
PeopleSoft Developer
with strong expertise in
Application Designer, Oracle SQL, SQR (Structured Query Reporter), and Linux (mandatory) . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting PeopleSoft applications, ensuring seamless integration with Oracle databases and stable deployment within Linux environments. Linux experience is a must for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development
Design, develop, and modify PeopleSoft applications using
Application Designer .
Implement new modules, enhancements, and customizations based on business requirements.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues within existing PeopleSoft applications.
Develop solutions using PeopleCode, Application Engine, and related PeopleSoft tools (as required).
Database Management
Write, optimize, and maintain complex
Oracle SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures .
Ensure database performance tuning and data integrity within PeopleSoft environments.
Work closely with DB teams for performance improvements and deployments.
Reporting
Develop, modify, and maintain reports using
SQR (Structured Query Reporter) .
Collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements and deliver accurate and timely solutions.
Linux Environment Management (Mandatory)
Deploy, configure, and support PeopleSoft applications in
Linux environments .
Perform basic Linux administration tasks, including log monitoring, file system management, and troubleshooting.
Support batch processes and scheduled jobs in Linux servers.
Testing & Documentation
Conduct unit, system, and integration testing for applications and reports.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test cases, and user guides.
Collaboration & Support
Work closely with functional analysts, business users, and cross-functional technical teams.
Provide ongoing support, issue resolution, and system maintenance.
Participate in production support activities when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelorโs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a
PeopleSoft Developer .
Strong hands-on experience with
PeopleSoft Application Designer .
Advanced proficiency in
Oracle SQL
(complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).
Hands-on experience with
SQR
for report development.
Strong working knowledge of
Linux (mandatory) .
Familiarity with PeopleCode, Application Engine, and other PeopleSoft development tools.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PeopleSoft
HCM, FSCM, or Campus Solutions
modules.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft Integration Broker and web services.
Experience in upgrade projects, patching, or cloud migration initiatives.
Exposure to DevOps practices and version control tools.
