GCP & API Engineer (Python)

We are looking for an experienced

GCP & API Engineer

with strong hands-on expertise in

Python

and

API development .

Client: IBM End client: Amex Location: Gurgaon Notice Period: Immediate/ 30 days

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain

RESTful APIs

using

Python . Build and manage scalable applications using

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

services. Work with

Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)

for containerized application deployment. Develop event-driven and asynchronous solutions using

Pub/Sub

and

Bigtable . Implement and manage APIs using

Apigee / API Gateway . Deploy and manage services using

Cloud Functions

and/or

Cloud Run . Configure and manage

Cloud Endpoints

for API exposure. Implement secure authentication and authorization using

IAM and OAuth 2.0 . Define and maintain API specifications using

OpenAPI / Swagger . Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

5+ years of overall IT experience. Strong proficiency in

Python

for backend and API development. Hands-on experience with: Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) Bigtable Pub/Sub Strong experience with

API Gateway / Apigee . Experience with

Cloud Functions

or

Cloud Run . Good understanding of

Cloud Endpoints . Solid knowledge of

IAM, OAuth, and API security . Strong understanding of

REST API design principles . Experience creating and maintaining

OpenAPI / Swagger

specifications.
