Job Description
About CollegePass CollegePass is a premium, Ivy League–focused admissions advisory firm working with ambitious students across India and Indian-origin families globally.
We specialise in helping high-performing students secure admission to the world’s most selective universities — including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT, UChicago, Columbia, UPenn, Brown, Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, and other top-20 institutions.
Our approach goes beyond application support. We mentor students from Grade 9 through Grade 12, helping them build depth, direction, and distinction — academically, intellectually, and personally.
We are building a team of sharp, globally aware advisors who understand elite admissions at a strategic level.
Role Overview As an Ivy League Admissions Consultant at CollegePass, you will work 1:1 with high-achieving students and their families to design and execute a long-term admissions strategy.
This is not a form-filling role. You will function as a strategic mentor — shaping student positioning, intellectual direction, and narrative clarity from early high school through final submission.
Key Responsibilities 1. Long-Term Profile Strategy (Grades 9–12)
Guide students on:
Academic planning, subject selection, and academic rigour (CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE, A-Levels)
Designing meaningful extracurricular depth
Leadership positioning and initiative-building
Research, competitions, summer programmes, and intellectual exploration
Spike development and long-term narrative coherence
2. Application Strategy & Execution (Grades 11–12)
Lead students through the full US application cycle:
Strategic college list building (reach/target/safety, EA/ED/RD optimisation)
Major positioning and academic alignment
Common App, UC, and institutional portal management
Personal Statement brainstorming, structuring, and advanced-level editing
Supplemental essays and narrative differentiation across schools
Activities list refinement and résumé positioning
Additional information sections and strategic disclosures
Interview preparation and mock interviews
Pre-read review of applications before submission
3. Parent & Student Relationship Management
Conduct structured Zoom/phone consultations during working hours
Maintain high-quality written communication via email and WhatsApp
Track milestones, tasks, and deadlines using internal CRM systems
Manage expectations with clarity and professionalism
Our families are ambitious and outcome-oriented — communication must reflect both empathy and authority.
4. Admissions Intelligence & Market Awareness
Stay updated on:
SAT/ACT changes and the test-optional landscape
AP/IB/A-Level evaluation trends
Major-specific admissions expectations (STEM, Business, Humanities, etc.)
Shifts in Ivy League and top-20 international intake trends
Financial aid policies and need-aware/need-blind nuances
Required Qualifications You must meet at least one of the following:
Graduate of an Ivy League or similarly selective US institution (Stanford, MIT, UChicago, Duke, etc.), OR
Minimum 2+ years of proven experience guiding students from India to top-50 US universities, with verifiable outcomes.
Additionally:
Exceptional written and spoken English
Strong essay editing ability (developmental and structural editing, not just line edits)
Deep familiarity with Indian school boards and US application platforms
Ability to manage multiple high-stakes students simultaneously
High emotional intelligence and professionalism
Preferred Experience
Personal experience applying to US universities as an Indian/international applicant
Prior work as a counsellor, educator, or admissions consultant
Exposure to UK (UCAS), Canada, or European admissions (advantageous but not mandatory)
Work Expectations
Fully remote with stable internet and professional setup
Availability from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM IST (Tuesday–Saturday)
Compensation
Competitive fixed compensation aligned with experience
Opportunity for long-term growth within a high-performing admissions team
