Node.js and Next.js

to help architect and scale AI-driven video systems. This is not a basic frontend role. You will work across: AI model integrations Backend services Serverless infrastructure Video processing workflows Production-grade deployments You should be comfortable owning features end-to-end. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain scalable applications using Next.js (App Router) Develop backend systems using Node.js Design secure API routes and server-side logic Deploy and manage applications on Vercel Integrate third-party AI APIs (LLMs, image-to-video, text-to-video, TTS, etc.) Build async job workflows for video generation and rendering Optimize performance for heavy AI and video workloads Implement authentication, rate limiting, usage tracking Work with video tools such as FFmpeg and encoding pipelines Connect frontend to AI processing infrastructure securely Required Skills 3+ years experience in Node.js backend development Strong experience with Next.js (App Router, Server Components, API routes) Experience deploying production apps on Vercel Experience building REST or GraphQL APIs Solid understanding of async systems and background job queues Experience integrating AI APIs Understanding of video processing fundamentals Database experience (PostgreSQL, Supabase, MongoDB, etc.) Authentication systems (JWT, OAuth, session-based auth) Preferred Experience Experience with video software or media tools Experience building SaaS platforms Experience with cloud storage (S3, Cloudflare R2) Experience handling large file uploads and processing pipelines Familiarity with AI model orchestration Experience with real-time features (WebSockets) What We’re Looking For Product thinker, not task executor Clean, modular code habits Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment Strong debugging and performance optimization skills Ability to build systems that scale Bonus Points Experience with AI video generation models Startup experience Experience scaling to thousands of active users Prior work on creator tools or content platforms
