Job Description – Team Lead BDR, Pune

The Team Lead – Business Development Representative is an individual contributor who provides daily operational and process leadership to the BDR team; acting as the primary SME for qualification standards, scripts, cadences, Salesforce hygiene, and lead-routing workflows; while serving as the first point of contact for quality checks, coaching, onboarding support, and cross-functional alignment with Inside Sales to enhance overall team productivity.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

SME Support and Individual Contributor

Act as the SME for scripts, outreach cadences, qualification criteria, and Salesforce usage, ensuring consistent team-wide best practices.

Provide peer-level coaching on call quality, objection handling, tonality, and messaging.

Meet daily/weekly outreach and activity KPIs across calls, emails, sequences, follow-ups, and SQL quality standards.

Conduct effective discovery and qualification to ensure accurate and high-quality handoff to Inside Sales.

Maintain CRM hygiene including notes, dispositions, and next-step planning.

Operational Support

Act as the first point of contact for BDRs on lead logic, routing and system issues.

Identify workflow inefficiencies or CRM challenges and escalate to the Assistant Manager/Manager.

Support daily operations by coordinating with Sales Ops, Inside Sales Team

Continuous Improvements & Projects

Recommend enhancements to messaging and outreach strategy.

Participate in pilots for new tools, templates, and process innovations.

Contribute documentation, SOP updates, and training materials.

Reports To : Digital Sales Manager

Required skills and qualifications

Graduate degree in any discipline

6-9 years of experience in Inside Sales, BDR/SDR roles, lead qualification, tele-sales, or customer-facing outreach functions.

Prior exposure to U.S. customers, B2B sales environments, or shared services/GCC models preferred.

Strong command over cold calling, email outreach, sequencing, follow-ups, and qualification frameworks.

Hands-on experience with Salesforce (preferred) including lead management, dispositioning, notes, and dashboards.

Clear verbal communication, neutral accent, strong writing skills for professional email outreach.

Strong understanding of Rules Of Engagement, lead routing, outreach cadences, and quality expectations.



Ability to work cross-functionally.

Ability to guide peers on scripts, tonality, objections, and best practices
