About the Opportunity Healthcare — Private hospital & women's health services sector. We operate a full-service on-site maternity and gynaecology practice focused on comprehensive maternal care, surgical gynaecology, and outpatient women’s health services in Baloda Bazar, Chhattisgarh. This opening is for an experienced, patient-centered Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join a growing clinical team delivering high-quality maternal and gynaecologic care.

Role & Responsibilities

- Provide full-spectrum obstetrics and gynaecology care across outpatient, inpatient, labour ward, and operating theatre settings—including antenatal clinics, deliveries, and postnatal follow-up.

- Perform obstetric procedures including normal vaginal deliveries and Caesarean sections; manage emergency obstetric scenarios and stabilise critical patients.

- Plan and perform elective and emergency gynaecologic surgeries such as laparoscopic procedures and hysterectomy, with appropriate peri-operative management.

- Lead high-risk pregnancy management programs—coordinate multidisciplinary care, monitor maternal-fetal wellbeing, and implement evidence-based treatment plans.

- Conduct and interpret obstetric ultrasound and gynaecologic diagnostic tests; document findings and communicate care plans to patients and families.

- Maintain accurate medical records, follow hospital protocols for infection control and patient safety, participate in continuous quality improvement and on-call rosters.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

- MBBS with MS (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) or DGO qualification.

- Registration with the Medical Council/state medical council and valid licence to practice in India.

- Proven clinical experience in obstetrics and gynaecology with hands‑on experience performing LSCS and common gynaecologic surgeries.

- Strong competence in emergency obstetric care and management of high‑risk pregnancies.

- Ability to perform and interpret obstetric ultrasound and basic gynaecologic diagnostic procedures.

- Willingness to work on‑site in Baloda Bazar with participation in on‑call and emergency duty rosters.

Preferred

- Experience with minimally invasive gynaecologic surgery (laparoscopy and hysteroscopy).

- Advanced life‑support certification relevant to obstetrics (e.g., ALSO, ACLS, BLS).

- Prior experience working in district or community hospital settings in India.
