Role Overview
Styli is looking for a
Sourcing Lead
to manage end-to-end sourcing for
women’s woven western wear
(tops, dresses, shirts, co-ords, bottoms). The role focuses on
vendor development, cost optimization, quality, and speed-to-market
, aligned with online business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Vendor Management
Develop, onboard, and manage vendors for men’s woven or woven bottoms categories (India & overseas if applicable)
Identify factories with strengths in fabrics like
rayon, viscose, cotton, linen, blends
Negotiate costs, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms to meet margin targets
Build long-term vendor partnerships with consistent quality and capacity assurance
Product Development & Costing
Work closely with
design, buying, and tech teams
to execute seasonal collections
Lead fabric sourcing, trims development, wash & finish selection
Own
costing from proto to bulk
, ensuring target price achievement
Suggest fabric / construction alternatives to optimize cost without compromising look & quality
Sampling & Production
Manage sampling timelines (proto, fit, PP, GPT samples)
Ensure timely handover from development to bulk production
Monitor production progress to ensure on-time deliveries for e-commerce launch calendars
Quality & Compliance
Ensure adherence to brand quality standards and measurements
Coordinate with garment tech / QC for inline and final inspections
Ensure vendors comply with ethical, social, and statutory requirements
E-commerce Alignment
Understand online business needs like
short lead times, repeat styles, low MOQs, fast replenishment
Support quick re-orders and in-season repeats for bestsellers
Work with planning team on demand-driven sourcing
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of
men's woven or bottom wear construction
Deep understanding of
fabric sourcing & costing
Excellent vendor negotiation and relationship skills
Ability to work in
fast-paced, calendar-driven e-commerce environment
Strong coordination with design, merch, tech, and planning teams
Data-driven approach to costing, margins, and vendor performance
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Fashion Technology / Apparel / Textiles
5-8 years of relevant sourcing experience (preferably e-commerce or fast fashion)
Experience working with
Indian vendors
(export houses, domestic units)
