About the role
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeping Supervisor to lead the day-to-day delivery of bookkeeping services for Australian clients and support the capability and performance of our bookkeeping team in Coimbatore.
This role combines strong technical bookkeeping capability with people leadership and workflow oversight. You will play a key role in ensuring bookkeeping work is accurate, timely, compliant, and aligned with Australian standards and client expectations. The position is intentionally office-based to support close supervision, coaching, collaboration, and consistent quality control.
What you’ll be responsible for
You will oversee and coordinate bookkeeping delivery across a portfolio of Australian clients, including:
Day-to-day bookkeeping activities across multiple client entities
Review of work completed by junior bookkeepers for accuracy, completeness, and quality
Timely completion of bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations
Monitoring Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
Oversight of month-end close activities including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
Review of GST / BAS data preparation and finalisation of BAS / IAS for submission
Oversight of software usage including Xero and MYOB
In addition, you will:
Supervise, allocate, and monitor team tasks, priorities, and deadlines
Maintain and enforce bookkeeping standards, controls, and internal procedures
Identify discrepancies and resolve more complex accounting issues, escalating where required
Monitor risk areas and support strong governance across client work
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
Train, mentor, and upskill junior team members
Support resource allocation and capacity planning across the bookkeeping function
Work closely with Australian stakeholders to ensure delivery expectations are met
About you
Proven experience in bookkeeping roles supporting Australian clients
Strong understanding of reconciliations, month-end processes, GST, BAS, and IAS requirements
Experience reviewing work and supervising junior team members
Strong knowledge of Xero
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capability
Able to manage competing deadlines across multiple clients and tasks
Clear communicator with a proactive and accountable approach
Comfortable working in a structured, office-based team environment
Experience in an offshore delivery or professional services environment is preferred
