Parentof is a cognitive-AI company building AI-driven Digital Therapeutics (DTx) platforms for children's attention, executive function, and behavioral skill development.

Over the last decade, Parentof has developed a proprietary cognitive intelligence stack (ARRC EngineTM) that integrates:

- Micro-behavioural telemetry - Adaptive AI personalization - Longitudinal outcome tracking - Hybrid digital + real-world interventions

Our flagship product, Attention Hero, operates at the intersection of AI systems engineering, cognitive science, and scalable product architecture.

Role Summary

We are looking for a Technical Engineering Lead who can own the technical backbone of our AI DTx platform.

This role is engineering-first:

- You will own architecture, codebases, and system integrity - Lead and grow engineering teams - Make core technical decisions across frontend, backend, data, and AI systems - Translate product intent into robust, scalable, compliant systems

Note: User research, growth marketing, and retention analytics are not the primary focus of this role.

Core Responsibilities1. Architecture & System Design (Primary)

- Own end-to-end system architecture across: - MERN stack applications - AI/ML services - Data pipelines and telemetry systems - Design scalable, modular, and secure architectures suitable for DTx use cases - Define boundaries between product layers, AI services, and data systems - Make build vs buy decisions for infrastructure and tooling

2. Codebase Ownership & Engineering Standards

- Take ownership of existing and future codebases - Enforce engineering best practices: - Code quality - Test coverage - CI/CD pipelines - Security and privacy standards - Lead code reviews and architectural reviews - Reduce technical debt while enabling fast iteration

3. Engineering Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and scale engineering teams across: - Frontend (React) - Backend (Node.js / APIs) - AI/ML and data engineering - Own sprint planning, technical task breakdown, and delivery commitments - Set engineering OKRs aligned with platform stability and scalability

4. AI & Data Systems Integration

- Partner closely with AI/ML engineers to: - Productionize models - Design inference pipelines - Ensure explainability and traceability - Oversee telemetry capture of micro-behavioural signals - Ensure AI outputs are deterministic, auditable, and debuggable

5. Platform Reliability, Security & Compliance

- Own platform reliability, uptime, and performance - Implement data security, privacy, and access controls - Ensure architecture aligns with: - FDA General Wellness expectations - COPPA / FERPA / GDPR principles - Prepare systems for audits, diligence, and enterprise customers

6. Product-Engineering Interface (Reframed Cross-Functional Leadership)

(Engineering-centric, not research-centric)

- Translate product and clinical intent into technical system requirements - Challenge product assumptions with architectural realities - Ensure engineering decisions preserve scientific validity of outcomes - Act as the technical counterweight to product, research, and business teams - Represent engineering perspective in leadership discussions

This role does not own user research, growth funnels, or marketing analytics — but ensures the platform can support them. Required QualificationsMust-Have

- 7–12 years of hands-on engineering experience - Strong system design experience in full-stack web platforms - Deep experience with JavaScript / TypeScript, Node.js, React - Experience managing large, evolving codebases - Prior ownership of platform architecture and engineering decisions - Experience leading engineering teams

Strongly Preferred

- Experience building AI/ML-powered platforms - Exposure to healthtech, edtech, or regulated environments - Experience designing data pipelines and telemetry systems - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Azure) - Experience supporting audits or technical due diligence
