We are seeking a mid-level Middleware / Integration Engineer to design, build, operate, and support enterprise messaging and event-driven platforms. The role focuses on IBM MQ, Event Streams (Kafka), Red Hat OpenShift, and modern observability tools like Datadog. You will work closely with application, platform, and operations teams to ensure scalable, resilient, and well-monitored integration services.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills • Strong hands-on experience with IBM MQ (installation, configuration, administration). • Experience with Kafka / Event Streams in production environments. • Working knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes. • Experience with Datadog or similar monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk). • Linux/Unix administration skills. • Scripting experience (Shell, Python, or similar).

Key Responsibilities

Messaging & Event Streaming • Design, configure, and support IBM MQ queue managers, channels, queues, and security (TLS, certificates, authentication). • Build and operate event-driven architectures using Event Streams (Kafka) including topics, partitions, consumer groups, and retention policies. • Troubleshoot messaging issues such as latency, message buildup, failures, and data consistency. • Support message flow patterns (point-to-point, pub/sub, request-reply).

OpenShift / Container Platform • Deploy and operate middleware workloads on OpenShift using Operators, Helm charts, and YAML manifests. • Work with OpenShift concepts such as Pods, Services, Routes, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and persistent storage. • Collaborate with platform teams on capacity planning, scaling, and high availability. • Support CI/CD pipelines for middleware deployments.

Monitoring, Observability & Reliability • Configure and maintain Datadog dashboards, monitors, and alerts for MQ, Kafka, and OpenShift workloads. • Perform root cause analysis using metrics, logs, and traces. • Define SLIs, SLOs, and operational thresholds. • Participate in on-call rotations and production support.

Security & Compliance • Implement security best practices for messaging and streaming platforms. • Manage certificates, encryption, access controls, and secrets. • Ensure platforms meet enterprise compliance and audit requirements.

Collaboration & Documentation • Work closely with application teams to onboard workloads and optimize integrations. • Create and maintain operational runbooks, architecture diagrams, and standards. • Contribute to platform modernization and cloud-native adoption initiatives.

Experience • 5–8 years of experience in middleware, integration, or platform engineering roles. • Experience supporting production, high-availability systems. • Familiarity with hybrid or cloud environments is a plus. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Position : 2

4 – 8 years of hands-on experience WebSphere MQ, Kafka and Ansible experience. Responsible for providing IT security and automation expertise. This candidate will provide baseline security standards and policies for Utilizes technical and business knowledge to design and implement secure, risk-based solutions, exercising judgment within broadly defined practices and policies. Results oriented, business focused, and successful at interfacing across multiple organizational units, at various levels.
