Position Summary
The Senior Manager – Accounts will lead core accounting functions, ensure financial compliance, strengthen internal controls, and deliver high‑quality financial reporting. The role requires a blend of technical accounting expertise and strong behavioural competencies to manage cross-functional processes effectively.
Core Competencies
1. Technical Accounting & Compliance Expertise
Demonstrated ability to:
Apply
Ind AS standards
across accounting processes.
Review and validate
invoice posting , vendor accounting, payment processing, and receipt accounting. Review
profit share / milestone invoices , debit notes, and credit notes.
Maintain, review, and reconcile the
Fixed Asset Register (FAR)
and
Capital Work-in-Progress (CWIP) .
Perform comprehensive
GL scrutiny , including creditors analysis and GR/IR reconciliation.
Ensure completion of
export incentive accounting
(Duty Drawback, RoDTEP) and ageing analysis.
Prepare workings for
Advance Authorisation
and
EPCG licences .
2. Financial Reporting & MIS Management
Demonstrated ability to:
Prepare monthly and quarterly
MIS reports
for OPCO, covering:
Manufacturing & Non-manufacturing expenses
Prepaid and provision reviews
Prepare
monthly and forecast financials
and upload to the
Anaplan portal .
Ensure accurate and timely generation of MIS dashboards for leadership review.
Support
statutory and income tax audits
with well-documented schedules.
Prepare
financial statements with disclosures
per Companies Act requirements.
3. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
Demonstrated ability to:
Analyze large data sets (SAP / Excel) and derive actionable insights.
Investigate financial variances, reconcile accounts, and close open items proactively.
Identify process gaps and recommend internal control improvements.
Perform root-cause analysis of accounting discrepancies.
4. Digital & System Proficiency
Demonstrated ability to:
Operate efficiently in
SAP (FI/MM modules)
for accounting activities.
Use
advanced Excel
(Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query preferred).
Manage structured uploads and reporting via
Anaplan .
5. Process & Operational Excellence
Demonstrated ability to:
Ensure robust internal controls are embedded in accounting and invoice posting processes.
Coordinate third‑party fixed asset verification activities.
Ensure timely booking and payment of
credit card statements .
Maintain strong documentation, accuracy, and compliance across all accounting functions.
6. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Demonstrated ability to:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, operations, sales, tax).
Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and external stakeholders as required.
Resolve vendor/customer queries and perform reconciliations on a timely basis.
Drive follow-ups and closure of open items with accountability.
7. Leadership & Team Capability
Demonstrated ability to:
Guide junior team members on accounting processes and Ind AS application.
Maintain a high standard of accuracy, discipline, and timeliness.
Drive continuous improvement within the finance function.
Key Role Deliverables
Accurate month-end closing with minimal audit remarks.
Error-free MIS and financial submissions to OPCO / Anaplan.
Zero non-compliance in statutory and tax audits.
Updated FAR and CWIP with timely capitalization.
Clean and reconciled GLs, GR/IR, and creditor accounts.
Timely and compliant export incentive accounting.
Qualification:
Chartered Accountant
