Opportunity for Interior Trim Lead Design Engineer

Experience:

8 to 12 years

Responsible for design and development of interior trim components (instrument panel, door trims, consoles, pillars trim, etc.) for passenger vehicles (Sedan, SUV cars). The role requires leadership in concept development and supplier coordination.

Key Responsibilities: •Develop design concepts and master sections for interior trims. •Perform engineering feasibility on styling surfaces and packaging constraints. •Conduct design reviews and ensure adherence to guidelines. •Coordinate with suppliers for tooling and part development. •Work with CFT teams for integration and issue resolution. •Release designs for manufacturing and validate against process requirements. •Support prototype builds and production trials.

Required Skills & Experience: •Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering. •8–12 years of experience in interior trim design for passenger vehicles. •Expertise in plastics, injection molding, and assembly processes. •Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA V5/NX) and PLM systems. •OEM development experience and ability to lead category-level activities. •Knowledge of ergonomic and aesthetic requirements.
