About the Role
The Admissions Consultant is part of our clientโs core admissions team - and is responsible for engaging with a wide range of students and parents who are actively exploring our client as one of their higher-education options. These families require clear information, consistent guidance, and a structured decision-support experience as they compare multiple engineering pathways.
As part of this role, you will guide prospective students from initial interest to registering for the NSET entrance test through clear communication and structured follow-ups. For candidates who clear our admissions process and receive an offer, you will conduct high-quality phone and video conversations, understand each familyโs academic and financial considerations, and help them evaluate why our client is the right fit as they decide on their next steps. You will guide applicants from the point of offer to their final decision through disciplined follow-ups, accurate information, and a supportive, solution-oriented approach. You will be trained to manage diverse parent personas, handle objections confidently, and maintain clarity and consistency in every interaction.
What you will do/Responsibilities
Admissions Conversations & Lead Management
Conduct consultative telephonic, video, and in-person discussions with families to help them evaluate our client with clarity and confidence.
Understand student background, aspirations, decision criteria, and parent expectations, and guide the conversation accordingly.
Maintain a structured follow-up rhythm for active leads, ensuring timely nudges and consistent visibility into their decision-making stage.
Capture accurate, detailed notes in the CRM after each conversation to ensure smooth internal coordination and high lead hygiene.
Targets, Reporting & Internal Coordination
Achieve defined goals across test registrations, offer to acceptance conversions, refunds, and overall enrollment numbers.
Share concise daily updates with the Team Lead on funnel movement, blockers, and any support required for specific families.
Flag complex cases early to the Team Lead (deadline extensions, academic queries, parent concerns, etc.) for alignment and support.
Collaborate with operations, marketing, and academic teams by providing accurate, timely information for smoother end-to-end student handling.
ParentโStudent Experience
Build trust through mature, grounded, and empathetic conversations that reflect high communication standards.
Handle sensitive or high-stakes moments - offer acceptance, fee deadlines, comparison concerns - with composure and clarity.
Conduct campus tours or virtual counseling sessions for families requiring deeper clarity before decision-making.
Maintain QA, tonality, and accuracy benchmarks consistently, ensuring every family receives a premium admissions experience.
Non-admissions cycle responsibilities (September to December)
Support offline and school outreach activities, including career fairs, info-sessions, campus events etc.,
Assist in building a healthy top-of-funnel pipeline ahead of the next admissions cycle.

Required Qualifications
Education
Engineering/experience in working in the Indian Engineering education space is mandatory.
MBA from a Tier-1 college or university is a plus.
Experience
1-4 years of experience in admissions, sales or high-interaction roles, in ed-tech companies (counselling, customer-facing roles) is mandatory.
Experience in working at study-abroad consultancies is a plus.
Prior exposure to engaging with parents, and students.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Exceptional spoken English with clear articulation and a calm, mature tone.
Ability to structure thoughts quickly in conversations.
Ability to handle parent conversations with confidence, warmth, and clarity.
Strong personal discipline, follow-through, and accountability.
Open to feedback and able to implement improvements rapidly.

12 LPA +Incentive
