Python Development+ DBA+kafka Engineer (Location : Bangalore)

Role: Single Python Development+ DBA+kafka Engineer location: Bangalore Experience: 5 to 7 Years

Key Responsibilities: Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain SingleStore databases. Data Ingestion: Manage SingleStore Pipelines for real-time streaming and batch data ingestion. Performance Tuning: Optimize queries, indexes, and schema for speed and scalability. Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Set up observability tools, diagnose performance bottlenecks, and resolve database issues. Backup & Recovery: Implement and validate robust backup and disaster recovery strategies. Security: Apply database security best practices and manage access control. Automation: Develop Python and Shell scripts to automate repetitive DBA tasks. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, DevOps, and infrastructure teams for seamless system integration.

Required Skills: Strong expertise in SingleStore (or similar columnar databases such as ClickHouse or Snowflake). Understanding of columnstore vs. rowstore design and optimization strategies. Proficiency in SQL – complex queries, stored procedures, and query optimization. Python and Unix Shell scripting for automation and monitoring.

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience: 3–5+ years as a Database Administrator, including 1–2 years of hands-on experience with SingleStore or other distributed SQL system
