Role Overview We are hiring a Vice President – Finance, India Campus Business to be the strategic finance leader for Eruditus’ India campus joint-venture ecosystem with global universities. This role will shape the financial strategy, governance model, and capital discipline for a new and rapidly scaling line of business. Beyond financial control, the role acts as a thought partner to the Group CFO, JV COOs, and partner universities, influencing decisions on campus scale-up, program mix, pricing, student acquisition economics, and long-term sustainability. The Director provides dotted-line leadership to JV Finance Heads and directly manages a central finance team responsible for consolidation, analytics, and subsidiary finance. This is a high-impact leadership role reporting to the Group CFO (Eruditus), with significant opportunity to evolve as the India campus platform scales multi-fold.

Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Financial Leadership & Governance • Own the end-to-end financial strategy for the India campus portfolio, balancing growth, capital efficiency, and long-term returns. • Design and evolve the financial governance framework for multiple JV universities, aligned with partner university expectations and group standards. • Provide dotted-line leadership to JV Finance Heads, ensuring strategic alignment and control. • Act as a senior finance advisor to JV COOs, academic leadership, and Group CFO on key financial and commercial decisions. • Work closely with central Emeritus Finance teams to enable consolidated reporting, portfolio-level insights, and seamless integration of finance operations across India campus entities. 2. Portfolio Planning, Capital Allocation & Performance Management • Lead portfolio-level budgeting, multi-year planning, and rolling forecasts across campuses and entities. • Drive capital allocation decisions across programs, campuses, and marketing investments. • Establish performance metrics and dashboards covering unit economics, breakeven timelines, and return on investment. 3. Business Partnering & Growth Enablement • Partner with business and academic leaders to evaluate new campuses, programs, and expansion opportunities. • Support pricing strategy, cohort sizing, faculty cost structures, and student acquisition economics. • Provide scenario analysis and decision frameworks to enable rapid but disciplined growth. 4. Marketing Spend & Demand Economics • Provide strategic financial oversight of the marketing and outreach subsidiary supporting JV universities. • Ensure strong linkage between marketing investments, enrolment outcomes, and lifetime student value. • Guide prioritization of channels, geographies, and campaigns from a return-on-capital perspective. 5. Financial Controls, Compliance & Risk Management • Ensure robust financial controls, compliance, and risk management across all entities, leveraging outsourced accounting partners. • Oversee statutory, tax, regulatory, and partner-university compliance requirements. • Act as the finance interface for audits, partner reviews, and group-level governance. 6. Team, Systems & Scale Readiness • Build and mentor a strong finance team. • Drive adoption of common systems, reporting standards, and analytics across JVs. • Prepare the finance organisation for future scale, restructuring, or capital events. Candidate Profile

Required Qualification & Experience: • Chartered Accountant with 12–15 years of post-qualification experience. • Proven experience in strategic finance roles within multi-entity, matrixed environments (JVs, platforms, or complex subsidiaries). • Background in education, consumer services, or scaled start-ups preferred. • Strong exposure to partnering with senior business leaders in high-growth, ambiguous environments. Leadership & Strategic Capabilities • Ability to think at a portfolio and enterprise level, not just entity-level finance. • Strong influencing skills in environments without direct reporting authority. • Commercial mindset balancing growth ambition with financial discipline. • Comfort building structures, teams, and decision frameworks from first principles.
