Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Director with a strong background in full-stack web application architecture and cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise with project leadership, ensuring successful delivery of complex software initiatives from conception to deployment. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, overseeing architecture and design standards, and driving continuous improvement across development and delivery practices. The candidate will also be responsible for driving growth through Presales engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, and delivery of complex cross-functional digital transformation projects
Manage scope, schedule, risks, and stakeholder communications for multiple concurrent projects.
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable technical plans.
Oversee Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and ensure timely delivery.
Drive alignment between business goals, technical design, and implementation.
Define transformation goals, KPIs, and success metrics
Collaborate with senior leadership to drive transformation vision
Technical Leadership
Provide technical guidance on application architecture, design, and development best practices.
Review and approve technical designs and ensure adherence to organizational standards.
Work closely with architects and technical teams to define solutions.
Evaluate new technologies and vendors to support transformation
Ensure effective use of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for scalable and secure applications. Hands-on experience working with Dockers, Kubernetes and containerized applications
Governance & Operational Excellence
Establish governance frameworks for transformation programs.
Implement best practices in project management, DevOps, and delivery.
Monitor risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
Ensure compliance, security, and regulatory requirements.
Drive continuous improvement and process optimization.
Continuous Improvement
Drive standardization and optimization in application design, development, and deployment processes.
Mentor and coach engineering teams to improve performance and delivery quality.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose innovations aligned with organizational goals.
Technical Expertise
Deep understanding of .NET and/or Java web frameworks, NodeJS, and front-end technologies (Angular, TypeScript, React).
Experience designing and managing REST and SOAP APIs (Web API, WCF).
Strong knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases and query optimization.
Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Working knowledge of Containerizing applications using Docker or Kubernetes
Strong grasp of object-oriented design, architecture patterns, and scalable web application design.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
15 to 20 years of overall experience in software development and architecture.
8 to 10 years in a project or technical leadership role.
Proven experience managing Agile/Scrum-based projects.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
