OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee all engineering operations within a large-scale apparel manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and strategic vision to drive operational excellence, plant efficiency, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Engineering Operations & Plant Management

- Lead and manage all engineering functions including maintenance, utilities, and facility management - Ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational efficiency - Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs

2. Project Management & Continuous Improvement

- Plan and execute plant expansion and automation projects - Drive lean manufacturing and productivity improvement initiatives - Implement energy-saving and sustainability projects

3. Utilities & Infrastructure Management

- Manage electrical systems, HVAC, boilers, compressors, and other utilities - Ensure uninterrupted utility supply for production - Maintain statutory and safety compliance

4. Budgeting & Cost Control

- Prepare and manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets - Identify cost optimization opportunities - Monitor engineering expenses and ensure financial control

5. Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination

- Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team - Work closely with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams - Provide technical and strategic guidance to senior management

6. Governance, Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with industrial safety and environmental regulations - Promote a strong safety culture across the plant - Maintain proper engineering documentation and standards

REQUIREMENTS (HIGHLIGHTED)

- Minimum 12 years of total engineering experience in an apparel manufacturing environment - 5–8 years of experience at Senior Manager level - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E / B.Tech – Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering) - Strong experience in plant maintenance, utilities, and large-scale factory operations - Proven leadership experience handling large engineering teams - Experience in automation, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement projects - Strong budgeting and cost control exposure (CAPEX & OPEX) - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills - Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
