Position Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex education infrastructure projects.
As DGM – Projects, you will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and executing projects while challenging conventional delivery approaches to achieve optimal outcomes. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality and regulatory standards. A strong understanding of architectural, civil/structural, or MEP disciplines, along with expertise in contract administration, is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Lead the execution of project strategy through detailed planning, scheduling, and budgeting
Define project scope, deliverables, milestones, and develop work breakdown structures
Monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve issues to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
Stakeholder & Team Management
Coordinate daily activities of consultants, contractors, and sub-consultants across disciplines
Engage with clients, government authorities, and end-users to manage expectations and relationships
Provide regular project updates and executive reports; escalate critical risks when required
Risk, Cost & Compliance Management
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies throughout the lifecycle
Review cost estimates, track progress claims, and validate interim certifications
Procurement & Contract Management
Lead procurement processes including tender documentation, bid management, and evaluation
Prequalify contractors and suppliers in line with organizational policies
Collaborate with legal and commercial teams to negotiate contracts and mitigate risks
Monitor procurement schedules aligned with project timelines
Quality, Safety & Coordination
Oversee implementation of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and conduct site audits
Ensure adherence to HSE standards and quality assurance processes
Drive coordination across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines
Design & Value Optimization
Conduct feasibility studies and provide strategic recommendations on development concepts
Ensure alignment of design and construction with educational and operational needs
Lead value engineering initiatives to optimize cost without compromising quality
Project Close-Out
Support project handover including as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and user training
Maintain comprehensive documentation including reports, budgets, and evaluations
Candidate Profile
15 - 20 Years of progressive experience in project management within infrastructure or construction.
Proven track record of delivering at least one full lifecycle education or school project.
Strong expertise in budgeting, cost control, contract administration, and risk management
Deep understanding of project lifecycle phases from concept to handover.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
