Job Title: Assistant Manager - Learning & Development

Department: Human Resources

Job Summary

The Assistant Manager – Learning & Development is responsible for designing, implementing, and driving effective learning strategies and programs aligned with organizational objectives. This role requires a strategic and hands-on professional with deep expertise in learning frameworks, instructional design, and capability development to enhance employee performance and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute a comprehensive Learning & Development (L&D) strategy aligned with business goals and workforce needs. - Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and capability requirements across departments, with a strong focus on the sales function. - Independently design and conduct training programs and workshops, including classroom, virtual, and on-field training sessions. - Coordinate with external trainers, facilitators, and vendors as required, ensuring program quality and adherence to allocated budgets. - Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and implement improvements where necessary. - Collaborate with business leaders to support sales capability building, leadership development, and talent development initiatives. - Travel across India as required to deliver training programs for the sales team and other business functions. - Manage multiple L&D projects simultaneously while ensuring quality, timelines, and outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education, Psychology, or a related field. - Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications in L&D / OD preferred. - 8–10 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, with a strong blend of strategy and hands-on delivery. - Proven experience in facilitating training programs independently and managing external training partners. - Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and learning evaluation frameworks.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Hands-on L&D professional with strong facilitation skills - Experience in sales training and pan-India rollout programs - Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and external partners. - Willingness to travel extensively for training delivery
