Role Overview As a

Laravel Developer (Backend & API Engineer) , you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems, REST APIs, and internal tools that support our simulation, reporting, and analytics platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with our FastAPI and Next.js teams, ensuring seamless data flow across our products while maintaining security, speed, and clean architecture.

Key Responsibilities Develop, optimize, and maintain backend logic using Laravel 12 (PHP 8.3+). Architect and build RESTful APIs for our SaaS platform and AI modules. Integrate with FastAPI microservices, AI endpoints, and external APIs. Design and optimize database schemas (MySQL/PostgreSQL) with indexing and query tuning. Implement secure authentication and authorization (Laravel Sanctum / Passport / JWT). Build and manage background jobs, queues, and event-driven workflows (Redis, Horizon). Develop modular, testable, and reusable code with strong version control (Git). Collaborate with the frontend (Next.js) and DevOps teams for smooth CI/CD pipelines. Maintain high standards for performance, security, and data protection. Write unit, feature, and integration tests with PHPUnit and Pest. Document APIs using Postman, Swagger, or OpenAPI specs.

Required Technical Skills Expertise in Laravel Framework (v10–v12) and modern PHP (8.2+). Solid understanding of RESTful API architecture, OAuth2, and JWT. Strong command over Eloquent ORM, query optimization, and database migrations. Proficient in Queues (Redis), Jobs, Events, and Scheduling. Experience integrating third-party APIs and webhooks. Familiarity with Cloud Environments (AWS / DigitalOcean / Cloudflare). Proficient with Git, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD deployment pipelines. Understanding of secure coding principles and OWASP best practices. Experience with Docker, Nginx, and Linux server management.

Nice to Have Experience working with FastAPI or Python microservices. Knowledge of AI/LLM API integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.). Familiarity with SaaS architecture and multi-tenant systems. Exposure to monitoring tools (Sentry, New Relic, Grafana). Experience with Vue.js / React / Next.js integration. Understanding of role-based access control (RBAC) and audit logging. Interest in cybersecurity, phishing, and human behavior simulation.
