Job Description
The
Product Manager – Current Account Plans & Use Cases
will be responsible for driving the end-to-end design, development, and optimization of customer experiences across current account products. This includes enhancing existing onboarding and servicing journeys, identifying customer pain points, and introducing new value‑added use cases such as
debit cards, insurance, lending products, partner integrations, and other ecosystem-led innovations .
The role requires strong product thinking, a deep understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks, and the ability to translate business goals into seamless, compliant, and scalable customer journeys. The Product Manager will also be expected to proactively conceptualize new ideas, champion digital-first experiences, and influence cross-functional teams to deliver high‑impact solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Requirement Gathering & Analysis
- Understand business objectives across onboarding and servicing journeys.
- Define functional/non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Prepare structured, detailed product documentation (PRDs), BRDs, , SOPs, and process flows and Prepare training material for internal teams.
2. Process Design & Optimization
- Map end-to-end workflows (KYC, activation, funding, servicing, issue resolution).
- Ensure compliance with RBI, AML/KYC, and internal policies.
- Design digital transformation scenarios to improve customer experience.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with business, technology, compliance, operations, and partners.
- Conduct walkthroughs, trainings, and readiness sessions.
4. Testing & Quality Assurance
- Create UAT test cases and validation plans.
- Lead UAT cycles, ensuring alignment with requirements and compliance norms.
- Manage defect tracking and closure before launch.
Skills & Competencies
Functional
- Strong understanding of digital onboarding, current accounts, and payments ecosystem.
- Knowledge of RBI regulations, KYC, AML, and audit processes.
- Experience in Use case integrations, digital journeys, and API integrations.
- Proficiency in Excel and SQL.
- Ability to convert data into actionable insights.
- Understanding of system architecture and development cycles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Customer-first mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work in fast-paced environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and MBA in Marketing/Finance or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in product management, banking, or fintech.
