Senior Java Microservices Engineer with (Spring Boot | Spring Security | System Design|Reactive programming)

About the Role:
We are looking for a
Senior Java Microservices Engineer
with deep expertise in
Java 17, Spring Boot, Spring Security , and
reactive programming . In this role, you will architect, design, and develop high-performance, scalable, and secure microservices from scratch using modern engineering practices. You will work on event-driven systems, implement best-in-class security patterns, and build distributed services deployed across
AWS and Azure . This is a high-impact position where you’ll influence architectural decisions, mentor fellow engineers, and shape next-generation backend solutions for large-scale distributed platforms.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities:
Microservices Development
• Design, develop, and maintain reactive microservices using
Java 17, Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux , and related frameworks.
• Build microservices
from scratch , ensuring clean architecture, modularity, and maintainability.
• Implement
Spring Security
to build robust authentication, authorization, OAuth2, and JWT-based security layers.
Event-Driven Architecture
• Develop distributed, real-time systems using
Apache Kafka
and
Azure Event Hub .
• Implement producers, consumers, stream processing, and fault-tolerant event pipelines.
Cloud & DevOps Collaboration
• Collaborate with DevOps teams for deployment, scaling, monitoring, and automation across
AWS and Azure .
• Implement cloud-native design patterns and integrate services with AWS/Azure ecosystem (EC2, S3, Lambda, SNS/SQS, Event Hub).
API & System Performance
• Build secure, performant
REST APIs
using asynchronous and non-blocking I/O.
• Ensure system reliability using observability and monitoring best practices (metrics, tracing, logging).
Technical Leadership
• Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in coding, design, and testing.
Architecture & System Design
• Design and evaluate architecture for distributed systems, focusing on performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Optimize system data flow, caching strategies, partitioning, load balancing, and recovery mechanisms.
Must-Have Skills:
Core Technical Expertise
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with
Java
and the
Spring ecosystem
(Boot, Security, Web, Data).
• Strong expertise with
Java 17 , Spring Boot,
Spring WebFlux , and
Project Reactor .
• Strong experience with
Spring Security , OAuth2, JWT, RBAC, API security patterns.
• Event-driven systems:
Kafka
(Producers, Consumers, Streams) or
Azure Event Hub .
• Deep knowledge of REST API architecture (async, non-blocking).
• Practical experience with
AWS or Azure
cloud services.
• Hands-on with
Docker , microservices deployment, and awareness of Kubernetes.
• Microservices testing including
contract testing , mocking, Testcontainers.
• CI/CD using
GitHub Actions , Jenkins, or similar.
• Observability tools – Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Datadog.
Architecture & System Design
• Strong foundation in distributed systems: load balancing, caching, partitioning, high availability.
• Experience designing systems from
scratch , following domain-driven design (DDD), clean architecture, and best practice patterns.
• Expertise in secure API design, performance optimization, data consistency, and resilience engineering.
