DC Application Engineer (APAC Sales – India)

POSITION INFORMATION The Primary focus of this role is to support our sales team, partners and end users of our MOB/HHS products. In addition to the Primary product noted in the JD, additional training will be available across the complete Datalogic product arrange.

ROLE MISSION Raise customers’ satisfaction and market share in the region

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Providing technical assessment of customer applications in pre-sales and technical support in post-sales situations, for MOB/HHS/FRS product in the PHP and SEA region. Work closely with the sales team, be sensitive to sales situations, able to quickly analyze a technical problem through customer’s sample evaluations, recommend and implement a solution to meet the customers’ requirements, able to deliver effective presentation and demonstration of technical solutions to both large and small technical and non-technical audiences. Other responsibilities include: preparing software and hardware to demonstrate Datalogic’s system capabilities during trade shows, preparing and conducting technical seminar presentation, and supporting beta customers, etc.. Provide front-line technical support. Interface and coordinate with global technical support group to meet customers’ satisfaction. Conduct product training courses on Datalogic solutions. This position requires almost extensive cross-region travel time, any candidate should be willing to travel at short notice. Ensure real time bi directional feedback on technical issue to both the customer and sales team. Other tasks as assigned by the manager

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS BS or MS in an engineering field such as Automation, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Knowledge of optics and lighting is a big plus. Fluency in local language and Fluent English; written and verbal communication. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position with the industry is required. Previous experience of at least one year with MOB/HHS/FRS products is a required. Understanding of the common industrial communications and networking environment are preferred.
