As an Analyst, you will combine strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset with real-world perspectives driven by an understanding of client issues and broader marketplace drivers. Analyst’s primary responsibility will be to analyze global markets, develop competitive and technical information, and build solid analysis and insights for client engagements, using secondary and primary research methods.
As an integral part of the global project team within Kline’s Energy Practice, Analyst will be expected to utilize the best-suited tools to research key markets including:
Demonstrating strong experience in conducting comprehensive secondary (public and paid databases) and primary research on various industries, macro developments, and regions
Developing and analyzing data: Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is essential
Preparing written reports or presentations
Summarizing project information for clear presentation of results and conclusions to clients
Interfacing with clients, if necessary, in the presentation of the results
Maintaining a fundamental working knowledge of the basic Kline databases and reports
Working constructively with other team members and the project supervisor to meet project goals
Analysts must also have the skills necessary to effectively and efficiently search and analyze secondary sources, such as:
Business databases
Engineering/Technical databases
Government agency records, including environmental, labor, tax sources
Trade and industry media, and industry reports
Other industry/public information sources
Job Requirements:
A graduate degree (preferably in petroleum & refining, mechanical engineering, automobile engineering, or chemical engineering); MBA is a plus
3-5 years of experience in market research pertinent industry experience in consulting, market research and/or competitive intelligence, or strategic marketing
Strong interviewing (both telephonic and face-to-face), primary and secondary research, analytical, communication (written and verbal English proficiency), and presentation skills
Flexibility to work in different time shifts
Ability to identify and develop the right set of respondents for conducting primary research through a range of sources
excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
strong quantitative, analytical, and conceptual problem-solving skills, combined with outstanding business acumen.
