Geotechnical Engineer

Hi, We are looking for a proficient Geotechnical Engineer with min 5-years professional experience from similar industry to join our team in Bangalore , work majorly with Nordic country, Swedish Geotech projects.

ROLE SUMMARY

Read and interpret ground investigation report, soil interpretation drawings etc. Hands on experience with soft soil parameter evaluation as per Euro codes and associated annexures (Nordic country, preferably Swedish or Norwegian clay assessment) Competent in performing stress analysis, settlement, stability calculation for slopes, excavated foundations, underground openings, preparation of 3D models etc. Calculations of support structures such as retaining walls, design of piles and sheet piles. Working knowledge of AutoCAD /Civil3D, parametric or direct modelling is one of the key requirements. Creating 2D and 3D design models and preparing detailed technical reports and documentation on findings and recommendations for clients. To work in close collaboration with skilled designers, project Managers and Team Leaders from India, Sweden and other offshore clients. Communicate and provide oversight and quality control during design and documentation phases to address any arising geotechnical challenges. You will be expected to think critically about solutions and designs To work in both supervised and unsupervised environments ensuring that the technical content of work carried out is correct, in accordance with agreed timescales and within agreed budgets. Provide technical guidance, support and training to colleagues and assist, where practicable, in mentoring and development of others PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

A master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, and related work experience preferred. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Geotechnical Engineering domain. Good English communication and effective interaction skill is a must. Conversant with codes and standards Swedish, Euro codes. Strong interpersonal / team working skills Good knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D. Experience with Geosuite, SlopeW, Plaxis, Spontprogrammet, Leapfrog etc. Hands on experience with hand calculations, Mathcad etc. Experience of working in 2D and 3D drawing and design. Ability to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members and to prepare reports (English)
