About the Role
We’re seeking a creative, organized, and proactive
Podcast Producer
with 5-8 years of experience—ideally in a media organization—to join our team. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end production of engaging podcast episodes, from idea generation to post-production. A key part of your role will be identifying and booking compelling voices that align with the show's vision.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, produce, and publish podcast episodes
in coordination with hosts, guests, writers, and audio teams
Research, identify, and shortlist potential guests/interviewees
who are relevant to the topic or series theme
Outreach and coordination with guests
—communicate, schedule, and prepare them for interviews
Conduct pre-interviews and prep hosts with background research and suggested questions
Edit and mix audio using tools like Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or similar
Write episode scripts, show notes, and promotional content
Ensure episodes meet high editorial and production standards
Work cross-functionally with marketing and digital teams for promotion and audience growth
Manage and optimize content for YouTube, including thumbnails, metadata, and titles
Track and analyse performance across platforms (Spotify, YouTube, etc.) using analytics and suggest improvements based on insights.
Stay informed about trends in podcasting and the broader media landscape
Requirements
3-8 years of experience in podcast production or audio storytelling, preferably in a media organization
Strong skills in research, guest coordination, and interview planning
Experience with podcast editing tools (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, Pro Tools)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—comfortable interacting with guests, hosts, and collaborators at all levels
Strong coordination and project management abilities—able to manage timelines, bookings, and multiple moving parts
Strong social skills—able to build rapport, represent the brand professionally, and ensure smooth guest experiences
Ability to manage multiple episodes and deadlines in parallel
Familiarity with podcast distribution platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in journalism, media studies, communication, or related field
Experience with remote recording tools like Zencastr, SquadCast, or Riverside.fm
Knowledge of SEO, audience growth tactics, and social media promotion
Bonus: Video production/editing skills
