Key Responsibilities : Own API and backend quality for platform and shared services Design and build scalable API automation frameworks using Node.js Automate testing for REST/GraphQL APIs, backend services, and event-driven systems Validate service contracts, schemas, backward compatibility, and versioning Implement contract testing across microservices Perform integration and end-to-end backend testing across multiple dependent services Build and maintain mocks, stubs, simulators, and test harnesses Validate authentication, authorization, rate limiting, retries, and error handling Test data consistency, idempotency, and transactional workflows Integrate API and backend tests into CI/CD pipelines Debug issues across distributed, cloud-native environments Participate in architecture and design reviews with a quality-first mindset

Required Skills & Qualifications : 4–5 years of experience in backend development and testing roles Strong proficiency in Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) Extensive experience in API automation and backend testing Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, HTTP protocols, and JSON Strong experience testing microservices and distributed systems Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP Strong understanding of databases and data validation (SQL/NoSQL) Experience with contract testing and API schema validation Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines Proficiency with Git and modern DevOps workflows Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Required Skills & Qualifications : Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka, Pub/Sub, message queues) Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and service meshes Knowledge of security testing, including OAuth, JWT, RBAC, and OWASP API risks Familiarity with observability tools (logs, metrics, distributed tracing)

Soft Skills Platform and systems-level thinking Strong ownership of service quality and reliability Excellent collaboration with platform, backend, and DevOps teams Ability to influence architecture through a quality-first approach. Comfortable working in Agile and fast-paced engineering environments.
