About the Role
Weโre looking for a revenue-driven Business Development Executive who understands the e-commerce ecosystem and can bring in brand partnerships across marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, and Q-Commerce platforms.
This is a hunter role โ you will build a strong business pipeline, convert brands, and directly contribute to revenue.
Key Responsibilities
1. New Business Generation
- Identify, approach, and onboard new brands across marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Blinkit, Zepto, etc.).
- Build a consistent monthly pipeline and convert high-potential brands.
2. Strategic Revenue Growth
- Sell marketplace solutions: ads, performance marketing, catalog ops, marketplace management, quick-commerce growth, etc.
- Develop strategic proposals, decks, and growth plans tailored to each brand.
3. Market & Category Intelligence
- Track category trends, competitor moves, and platform opportunities to pitch smarter and close better.
- Identify whitespace opportunities for brands and convert them into revenue.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with advertising, operations, strategy, and catalog teams to build winning pitches and ensure seamless onboarding.
- Ensure successful handover to internal teams post-closure.
5. Client Relationship Building
- Manage early-stage onboarding conversations and align expectations with clients.
- Conduct periodic growth review conversations with newly acquired brands (first 60โ90 days).
KPIs / Performance Metrics

- Number of brands onboarded per month/quarter
- Revenue targets achieved from new business
- Strength and conversion of pipeline
- Quality of clients onboarded (category, potential, ticket size)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years in BD, marketplace roles, or agency-side sales in e-commerce/D2C/Q-commerce.
- Strong understanding of marketplace fundamentals: ads, operations, promos, catalog, pricing, and growth levers.
- Ability to create strong presentations, proposals, and growth pitches.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-handling skills.
- Target-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast, high-ownership environment.
Good to Have
- Existing network of e-commerce brand founders, marketing heads, sellers.
- Experience selling marketplace services at an agency or startup.
- Working knowledge of ad dashboards, analytics tools, and marketplace back-end systems.
- Exposure to category management, growth roles, or performance marketing.
