Senior Product Marketing Manager - India

Technology StackGen

Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager who brings deep, hands-on roots in the DevOps and cloud native ecosystem. This is not a role for someone learning the space—it is for someone who has lived it. You will translate complex technical capabilities into compelling narratives that resonate with practitioners on the ground as well as with engineering leaders and executives who set strategic direction. Critically, this role is designed for an AI-first operator. We are building a marketing function that leverages AI tools to produce content at a volume, quality, and velocity that traditional approaches cannot match. The ideal candidate embraces this model and is excited to work in it—not simply to learn it. Key Responsibilities 1) Messaging & Positioning Develop clear, differentiated product messaging and positioning across customer segments, including Platform Engineers, Delivery (Release/CI/CD) teams, SRE teams, and Observability teams. Articulate StackGen’s value proposition in terms of customer outcomes—not just features—connecting platform capabilities to the day-to-day challenges these teams face. Build and maintain messaging frameworks for both practitioner and executive audiences, including CTOs and VPs of Engineering, ensuring the story is compelling at every level. Create website content and marketing assets that effectively communicate StackGen’s differentiation and ROI. Quantify and communicate business impact, including deployment speed, cost savings, risk reduction, and team scalability. 2) Market Research & Competitive Analysis Conduct in-depth research to understand industry trends, customer pain points, and competitive positioning across IaC, platform engineering, Delivery/CI/CD, SRE, and Observability. Provide actionable insights to influence product strategy and sharpen differentiation. Leverage AI-powered research tools to accelerate competitive intelligence gathering and synthesis. 3) Go-to-Market Strategy & Product Launches Lead go-to-market strategies for new product launches, ensuring tight alignment across marketing, product, and sales teams. Define and execute strategies to accelerate platform adoption, anchored in market needs and customer success narratives. Develop persona-specific launch content that speaks authentically to each audience—from the engineer in the terminal to the VP reviewing quarterly priorities. 4) Sales Enablement Develop and deliver marketing collateral and tools to empower sales teams, including pitch decks, battle cards, ROI calculators, and case studies. Collaborate with sales to refine messaging for different buyer personas and stages of the customer journey. Ensure sales teams are equipped to hold credible conversations with both technical practitioners and executive buyers. 5) AI-Powered Content Creation Partner with marketing and product teams to produce whitepapers, case studies, technical guides, blog posts, and campaign assets at high volume and quality. Operate in an AI-first content workflow—using AI tools to ideate, draft, evaluate, and refine materials faster than traditional approaches allow. Simplify complex technical concepts for both technical and business audiences, always answering the “why” behind our solutions.

Requirements 1)Technical & Domain Expertise Significant hands-on experience working in the DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud native ecosystem—this may come from practitioner roles, technical marketing, developer relations, or a combination. Deep familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, OpenTofu, Helm), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipeline architectures. Working knowledge of Delivery (Release/CI/CD), SRE practices and tooling (error budgets, runbooks, incident management), and Observability (metrics, logs, traces, alerting). Ability to quickly evaluate technical content for accuracy, relevance, and audience fit without needing to ramp up on fundamentals. Comfort holding substantive conversations with engineers, architects, platform teams, and senior technical leaders alike. 2) AI-First Mindset Demonstrated willingness and ability to work in an AI-augmented workflow—using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or similar to produce content, conduct research, and synthesize information at scale. Comfort experimenting with new AI tools and incorporating them into a repeatable content production process. An orientation toward output quality and velocity, not hours spent—you will be expected to do more with AI than a traditional team could do without it. 3) Strategic & Analytical Skills Ability to translate technical capabilities into outcome-focused narratives that resonate with executive buyers, including CTOs and VPs of Engineering. Proven ability to quantify ROI and build business cases that connect platform investment to engineering and business outcomes. Experience with market research and competitive analysis to inform messaging and GTM strategies. 4) Collaboration & Execution Proven success working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and sales teams in a fast-moving startup environment. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Comfort operating with autonomy and adapting quickly as priorities shift. 5) Preferred Qualifications Background as a DevOps practitioner, platform engineer, SRE, or technical marketer in the cloud native space prior to moving into a marketing role. Experience marketing to or alongside Platform Engineering, SRE, or Observability teams at enterprise-scale organizations. Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation tools, and content management systems. Prior experience at a company in the IaC, Kubernetes, CI/CD, or cloud native infrastructure space.

A Note on Background We are less focused on years in a product marketing title than we are on depth of experience in the DevOps world. A candidate who has spent the majority of their career as a practitioner or in a technical role within this ecosystem—and who brings sharp communication instincts and an appetite to work in an AI-first way—may be a stronger fit than someone with a longer product marketing resume but a shallower technical foundation. Why StackGen? Innovative Mission:
