Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Compliance & Regulatory professional with strong experience in managing end-to-end regulatory requirements across financial services entities. The ideal candidate should have a consulting/advisory background and deep understanding of Indian
regulations, compliance frameworks, governance standards, and regulatory reporting.
The individual will ensure that all group entities remain compliant with statutory laws, regulatory guidelines, and periodic reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Regulatory Compliance Management
• Ensure 100% compliance with:
o RBI regulations for NBFCs
o FEMA & RBI filings (FC-GPR, FLA, ODI, ECB, LRS, etc.)
o SEBI regulations LODR, PMS, Research Analyst, Broking Compliance
o Companies Act compliance in coordination with Secretarial team
o Direct Taxation
• Monitor regulatory updates and evaluate applicability to the group.
2. Compliance Framework & Monitoring
• Develop, implement, and periodically update the Compliance Management Framework for the group.
• Maintain a comprehensive compliance calendar across all entities.
• Conduct periodic internal compliance reviews and risk assessments.
3. Policy, Controls & SOPs
• Draft and review compliance policies, internal guidelines, and SOPs.
• Assist in setting up controls for AML, KYC, onboarding, and operational compliance.
• Ensure adherence to internal governance standards and ethical practices.
4. Regulatory Reporting & Filings
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of:
o RBI monthly/quarterly returns (NBFC returns, NBS reports, financial returns)
o FEMA-related submissions
o Statutory compliance submissions for group entities
• Coordinate with Finance, Legal, and Secretarial teams for data collation.
5. Regulatory Liaison & Inspections
• Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities.
• Manage RBI inspections, regulatory audits, and compliance queries.
• Prepare responses, documentation, and action plans for observations.
6. Transaction & Business Support
• Review business proposals, new products, onboarding processes, and internal transactions from a compliance perspective.
• Advise business teams on regulatory implications before execution.
• Support group restructuring, entity formation, and operational setup from a compliance standpoint.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of:
o RBI NBFC Regulations
o FEMA & Cross-border regulations
o PMLA / AML guidelines
o Corporate Governance norms
o Regulatory reporting frameworks
• Ability to interpret regulations and convert them into actionable SOPs.
Experience Background
• 6–15 years in Compliance / Regulatory Advisory, preferably from:
o Dhruva / BMR / Big 4 Regulatory Teams
o NBFC / Financial Services Compliance
o Legal or regulatory consulting firms
• Experience handling multi-entity and cross-border compliance is a plus.
Soft Skills
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
• High ownership, integrity, and attention to detail.
Education
• Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), or LLB preferred.
• Additional certifications in FEMA/Compliance/Regulatory are a plus.
• FCA compliance would be an Added advantage
