Draughtsman – Renewable Energy (Civil / Electrical) Job Description

Role Overview

The Draughtsman will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering drawings for renewable energy projects including Solar (Ground Mount / Rooftop / Floating), Wind, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), and Substation works. The role involves close coordination with Civil and Electrical design teams to develop accurate construction drawings, layouts, and as-built documentation.

- Key Responsibilities • - Prepare detailed 2D drawings, layouts, and schematics as per engineering inputs. - • Develop and modify drawings for civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical works (as applicable to project scope). - • Prepare GA (General Arrangement) drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings. - • Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and statutory requirements. - • Coordinate with engineers, project teams, and site personnel for drawing clarifications and revisions. - • Maintain proper version control and documentation of drawings. - • Support site teams with drawings, BOQs, and revisions during execution. - • Incorporate comments received from consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders. - • Ensure timely delivery of drawings as per project schedules. • •

- Required Skills & Qualifications • Diploma / ITI / Certification in Draftsmanship, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering - • 1–5 years of relevant drafting experience. • Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) - . • Good understanding of technical drawings and symbols. - • Basic knowledge of BOQ and material take-offs is an advantage. - • Ability to interpret engineering concepts and translate them into drawings. - • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - - • • Preferred Skills - • Experience in renewable energy, solar, EPC, infrastructure, or industrial projects. - • Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other 3D tools will be an added advantage. - • Familiarity with site coordination and execution drawings. - • Competitive salary and performance-based growth. - • Collaborative and professional work environment.
