Job Description
Location:
Pune (On-site by default)
Type:
Full-time
Experience:
5+ years
Level:
Lead Engineer (Group / Multi-team)
About Dizzaroo Dizzaroo builds AI-first enterprise software for life sciences and pharma—focused on clinical research workflows, compliant document systems, translational biology/digital pathology, and knowledge platforms.
Role Summary We’re hiring Lead Engineers who will work in tandem to lead a group of teams (multiple squads as we scale). You’ll be hands-on technical leaders who have shipped SOC 2–ready (or equivalent control-aligned) SaaS and can drive consistent delivery while setting high engineering standards.
What You’ll Do
Multi-team leadership
Lead a group of teams: planning, execution, and cross-team dependency management.
Set technical direction and delivery cadence; ensure teams ship consistently.
Coach tech leads and senior engineers; raise the bar through design reviews and code review standards.
Enterprise SaaS platform ownership
Drive architecture and implementation for multi-tenant SaaS: tenant isolation patterns, RBAC/ABAC, audit trails, configuration management, and secure data access.
Own enterprise readiness features: SSO (SAML/OIDC), provisioning (SCIM) where needed, and integration-friendly APIs.
Security & compliance readiness
Implement security-by-design: secure SDLC practices, dependency hygiene, secrets management, least-privilege design, threat-aware architecture.
Ensure SOC 2-ready operational controls: logging, access management, change management discipline, incident response practices, and evidence-minded workflows.
Operational excellence
Improve reliability: observability (logs/metrics/traces), alerting, SLOs, incident handling, postmortems, and continuous improvements.
Own quality gates: CI/CD, automated testing strategy, release processes, rollback plans, and release risk management.
What We’re Looking For (Must-Have)
5+ years
building and shipping SaaS products in production.
Proven experience delivering
SOC 2-ready
systems (or equivalent security control frameworks), including supporting audit readiness through practical engineering controls.
Experience leading
one or more teams
(directly or as a group lead), including managing technical priorities and delivery across squads.
Strong backend engineering fundamentals (APIs, databases, performance, reliability).
Experience with a major cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure), including IAM and secure infrastructure patterns.
Strong communication and decision-making: able to align teams quickly and resolve technical disagreements.
Strong Plus
Life sciences/pharma experience (clinical systems, regulated workflows, quality systems, data governance).
SSO/SAML/OIDC, SCIM, encryption/key management, tenant isolation strategies, data retention and audit log design.
Familiarity with compliance-adjacent requirements (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11 concepts, GxP validation mindset).
Experience with data-intensive systems (analytics pipelines, search, event-driven architectures).
Tech Environment (Indicative) Modern SaaS stack with a strong emphasis on security and scalability:
API services, relational databases, background jobs/queues
CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability tooling
Secure authN/authZ patterns and audit logging
(Exact tools may evolve—comfort across the stack matters more than a specific framework.)
Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
Establish engineering operating rhythm across teams: planning cadence, release gating, and design review process.
Standardize key platform primitives: RBAC model, audit logging baseline, secure SDLC checklist, observability baseline.
Deliver at least one enterprise-grade release end-to-end with measurable reliability/security improvements.
Compensation Competitive for Pune market, based on experience and scope. Share expectations in your application.
