ABOUT TATA ELECTONICS: Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. About the Role: The Technical Document Management (TDM) Engineer governs the maturity, lifecycle status, and controlled release of PDK documentation and technology platforms within the semiconductor foundry. The role serves as the governance anchor and facilitator for the Document Change Review Board (DCRB), Technology Platform Status Change meetings, and Technology Category Review Board (TCRB). The TDM Engineer ensures alignment between PDK maturity, platform lifecycle status (Standard / Control / Phase-Out), customer release permissions, and quality system compliance. This role acts as the single control point for customer-facing PDK releases and ensures all decisions are documented, traceable, and audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities: Facilitate and own Document Change Review Board (DCRB) meetings governing maturity revisions of PDK documents and specifications. Ensure PDK changes meet defined entry and exit criteria prior to approval and release. Maintain revision history, approval records, decision logs, and action tracking for all controlled documents. Facilitate Technology Platform Status Change meetings and govern transitions between Standard, Control, and Phase-Out states. Ensure platform status decisions are documented, justified, and reflected accurately in PDK release permissions. Coordinate and facilitate Technology Category Review Board (TCRB) meetings, ensuring categorization decisions are supported by maturity and risk evidence. Act as the single governance control point for external PDK package release to customers. Manage and track customer release permissions, version control, and authorization workflows. Maintain auditable logs of PDK versions released, customer recipients, and approval conditions. Interface with Technology Development, Process Integration, Design Enablement, Yield, Reliability, Manufacturing, and Customer Engineering teams. Ensure alignment with Quality Management System (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 where applicable) requirements. Support internal, customer, and certification audits with complete documentation and traceability. Drive continuous improvement in governance efficiency while maintaining risk-based control.

Key Competencies: Strong understanding of semiconductor technology lifecycle and PDK components. Knowledge of design rules, device models, reliability specifications, and technical documentation structures. Experience working in structured governance or stage-gate environments. Strong process discipline with risk-based decision orientation. Excellent meeting facilitation and stakeholder management skills. High attention to detail with strong documentation and traceability focus. Ability to work cross-functionally and drive closure of action items. Proficiency with document management systems (PLM, PDM, SharePoint, or equivalent) and reporting tools.

Qualification: |Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Materials Science, Semiconductor Physics, or related discipline. 5 - 8+ years of relevant semiconductor experience with demonstrated ownership of PDK governance forums, technology lifecycle decisions, and cross-functional coordination.
