At Unsupervized, we are building intelligence for robots interacting with the physical world. Our research focuses on enabling robots to reason about real-world physical interactions.
We are looking for a Robotics Research Intern who is excited about building and experimenting with humanoid robot hardware prototypes.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on robotics development, hardware prototyping, and research.
What You’ll Work On:
- Assist in the design and prototyping of humanoid robot hardware
- Work with robotic arms, actuators, sensors, and embedded systems
- Build and test mechanical and electromechanical prototypes
- Study and analyze recent humanoid robotics research
- Contribute to experiments and R&D for new robot hardware designs
- Document findings and support research-driven development
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with robotics hardware or mechanical or mechatronics
- Familiarity with actuators, motors, sensors, and robot control systems
- Ability to prototype mechanical or electromechanical systems
- Basic understanding of robot kinematics and robot design
- Comfortable with CAD tools (Fusion360, SolidWorks, OnShape, etc.)
- High agency mindset
We are looking for someone who:
- Takes initiative and ownership
- Enjoys solving problems independently
- Moves quickly from idea → prototype → experiment
- Is curious about humanoid robots and physical AI
- Experience with ROS, MuJoCo, or Isaac Sim
- Experience building robot arms or hardware prototypes
