Overview -
As a Sr. Manager in Consumer Practice at Avian WE, you will lead high-profile consumer accounts, driving strategic direction, client relationships, and the execution of integrated public relations campaigns. We are looking for a Sr Account Manager to join our team and help our clients tell their stories in bold, unconventional ways. It’s a very exciting time for our rapidly growing Consumer Practice as we continue build the client roster and win some of the most exciting accounts in the industry. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of key client accounts, collaborating with internal teams to deliver exceptional service, and ensuring that all initiatives align with clients' business goals.

Job Functions -
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders, building and nurturing long-term relationships.
Gain a deep understanding of client businesses, industry trends, and competitive landscape to deliver high-impact strategies and solutions.
Provide strategic counsel to clients on communications, media, brand positioning, and crisis management.
Lead regular client meetings, status updates, and presentations, ensuring client satisfaction and project deliverables are met along with the team
Strategy & Campaign Development
Lead the development of comprehensive public relations strategies for consumer brands across various sectors, including Food & Beverages, lifestyle, retail and tech.
Oversee the creation and execution of integrated PR campaigns, from media relations to content creation, influencer partnerships, events, and digital outreach.
Develop and deliver compelling narratives and communications plans to drive awareness, engagement, and sales for clients.
Ensure alignment with clients' overall marketing and business objectives, leveraging data and insights to optimize performance.
Develop and work with team to drive new business
Team Leadership & Development
Manage and mentor a team of executives, and interns, providing guidance and support for professional growth.
Foster a collaborative environment within the team, ensuring high levels of performance, creativity, and client service.
Lead by example in delivering excellent results and maintaining a positive, high-energy team culture.
Media Relations & Industry Expertise
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, influencers, and media outlets in the consumer sector.
Secure high-profile media placements in top-tier outlets across print, broadcast, digital, and social media channels.
Stay ahead of industry trends, providing clients with actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Financial & Project Management
Oversee budgeting, timelines, and resource allocation for client projects, ensuring campaigns are executed within scope and on time.
Track and report on campaign performance, including media coverage, engagement metrics, and ROI, providing regular updates to clients and internal teams.
Maintain profitability of accounts through effective resource management, billing, and scope of work tracking.
Experience
Minimum of
6 - 8 years
of experience in public relations, with a focus on
consumer brands .
Proven track record in managing and growing client relationships within the consumer sector.
Strong experience in leading and executing integrated PR campaigns across traditional and digital media.
Experience managing and mentoring teams, with a focus on professional development and leadership.
Skills
Expertise in
media relations , including pitching, securing placements, and crisis communications.
Excellent
written and verbal communication skills , with the ability to craft compelling stories and presentations.
Strong
strategic thinking
with the ability to translate client goals into actionable PR plans.
Highly organized, with exceptional project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Proficiency with
PR tools
and
media monitoring
platforms.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in
Public Relations, Communications, Marketing , or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Preferred
Established media and influencer contacts within the
consumer
sector .
Experience in
brand communications ,
digital marketing , or
social media
campaigns.
