Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Consultant – Contracts & Claims
with strong expertise in construction contracts, claims, arbitration support, delay analysis, variation assessment, and quantum/cost claims. The role involves supporting high-value dispute resolution assignments across infrastructure and construction projects in India and overseas, working closely with senior consultants, legal teams, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and support construction
claims , including EOT, prolongation, disruption, acceleration, and variation claims.
Perform
delay analysis and forensic schedule analysis
using industry-accepted methodologies.
Develop and review
baseline and updated project schedules
using Primavera P6.
Assist in
arbitration, adjudication, and dispute resolution proceedings
by preparing supporting documentation, schedules, and exhibits.
Conduct
quantum and cost analysis , including evaluation of variations, changes, and financial impacts.
Review construction contracts (FIDIC and bespoke forms) to identify contractual entitlements, risks, and claim strategies.
Maintain detailed
records, substantiation, and evidence
to support claims and dispute submissions.
Prepare technical narratives, claim reports, and draft sections of expert reports under senior guidance.
Coordinate with internal teams, external counsel, and clients to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
Key Requirements
Experience
7–8 years
of relevant experience in: Construction contracts and claims
Arbitration and dispute resolution support
Delay analysis and EOT assessments
Variation evaluation and
quantum/cost claims
Project planning and scheduling
Good Report writing skills
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in
Primavera P6
for planning and delay analysis.
Advanced working knowledge of
Microsoft Excel
for cost, claims, and data analysis.
Solid understanding of construction project controls, planning, and progress measurement.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline .
Certifications such as
PMP, FIDIC, or arbitration-related credentials
will be an added advantage.
Communication & Soft Skills
Strong
written and spoken English
communication skills.
Ability to draft clear, structured, and defensible technical and claims documentation.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work effectively in a
fast-paced, deadline-driven consulting environment .
