Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Test Engineer (Automation-Focused) to own and drive the automated testing strategy across complex web, and API-based systems. This role is 100% automation-focused and requires deep expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test suites for unit, integration, performance, and load testing, all executed through scripts within a CI/CD pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Automation Strategy & Architecture Define the

end-to-end automated testing strategy

aligned with the overall engineering and DevOps roadmap. Design

automation frameworks

covering unit, integration, API, UI, performance, and load testing. Establish best practices for test design, coverage, reusability, reliability, and execution speed.

Automated Test Development & Execution Collaborate with developers to drive, design, implement, and maintain

automated test scripts

for: Unit tests Integration and API tests UI automation for web applications Performance, load, and stress testing Continuously improve test execution time and stability.

CI/CD Integration & DevOps Enablement Integrate automated test suites seamlessly into

CI/CD pipelines

to enable continuous testing. Ensure automated tests are triggered on code commits, builds, and deployments. Collaborate with DevOps teams to monitor pipeline health, test failures, and quality gates. Implement reporting and dashboards for test results and quality metrics.

Performance, Load & Reliability Testing Design and implement

automated performance, load, and stress test scenarios . Analyse test results to identify bottlenecks, scalability issues, and system limitations. Work closely with engineering teams to validate fixes and improvements through automated re-testing.

Quality Ownership & Continuous Improvement Act as a quality champion, ensuring defects are detected

early and automatically

in the development lifecycle. Perform root cause analysis of test failures and production issues. Define and track quality metrics such as test coverage, defect leakage, pipeline stability, and automation ROI.

Skills & Qualifications:

Required Skills 6+ years of experience

in software testing with a strong focus on

test automation . Proven experience designing and implementing

automated test strategies

at scale. Strong hands-on experience with UI and API automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, Postman). Experience with

performance and load testing tools

(e.g., JMeter, Gatling, k6, or similar). Strong experience integrating automated tests into

CI/CD pipelines

(e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). Solid understanding of

SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices . Ability to read, write, and debug test code and scripts. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills Experience testing distributed or cloud-based systems. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with test reporting, monitoring, and observability tools. Basic knowledge of SQL and scripting languages.
