Devops - Senior Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Management Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 5-8 DevOps engineers and site reliability engineers Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellence Recruit, hire, and onboard top DevOps talent Establish team goals, KPIs, and success metrics aligned with business objectives Technical Strategy & Architecture Define and execute the DevOps strategy and roadmap for scalable infrastructure Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable software delivery Lead cloud migration and optimization initiatives Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability standards across all systems Operational Excellence Ensure 99.9%+ uptime through robust system design and incident response procedures Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans Drive security best practices and compliance requirements (SOC 2, GDPR, etc.) Optimize infrastructure costs while maintaining performance and reliability Lead post-incident reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives Cross-functional Collaboration Partner with Engineering, Product, and Security teams to enable fast, secure deployments Work closely with engineering managers to optimize development workflows Collaborate with leadership team on technical strategy and resource planning Communicate system status, incidents, and improvements to stakeholders Required Qualifications Experience 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering 3+ years of engineering management experience with direct reports Proven track record of scaling infrastructure for high-growth companies Experience managing 24/7 production systems with strict SLA requirements
