Job Summary:
We are looking for a hands-on IBM Sterling OMS Developer with 4โ7 years of experience in designing, customizing, and supporting IBM Sterling Order Management solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in core OMS modules, Next Generation Call Center, and Order Hub, along with experience in Java-based customizations, integrations, and microservices in an omni-channel retail/eCommerce environment.
This role involves end-to-end ownership of OMS featuresโfrom estimation and design to development, deployment, and production supportโworking closely with business, product, and cross-functional IT teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and enhance solutions using IBM Sterling OMS.
Design and maintain detailed technical architecture documentation across a multi brand, multi-region Omni-channel environment
Work extensively on core OMS modules including DOM, sourcing, inventory, fulfillment, and order orchestration.
Customize and support Next Generation Call Center (NGCC) and Order Hub.
Implement and maintain order workflows, APIs, user exits, services, agents, and pipelines.
Design and implement integrations with external systems such as payment, inventory, fulfilment, ERP, and WMS.
Develop and support REST/SOAP APIs, batch processes, SFTP, and event-based integrations.
Build, deploy, and support code across multiple environments (DEV, QA, UAT, PROD).
Hands-on experience with cloud-based OMS deployments (IBM SST).
Use CI/CD tools like Jenkins, version control systems like GitHub/Bitbucket, and Agile tools like JIRA.
Translate business requirements into technical designs and functional solutions.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, business analysts, SMEs, and vendors.
Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and best-practice enforcement.
Create and maintain technical design documents and system documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system stability and business continuity.
Identify opportunities to improve order management and customer service processes.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
Core Skills

Strong expertise in:
IBM Sterling OMS (v10.X)
Inventory Visibility
Next Generation Call Center
Order Hub
Proficiency in Core Java / J2EE
Strong experience with XML, XSLT, JSON, SQL
Solid understanding of order lifecycle, sourcing, inventory, fulfilment, and returns
Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP integrations
Experience with DB2 and/or Oracle
Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix
