Entry-Level Quality Assurance Analyst

Blutic is looking for a

QA Analyst - Level 1

with

1-3 years of testing experience

to perform manual and automation testing of data solutions

(SSIS/SSRS/SQL Server)

under the guidance of senior QA team members. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates who are eager to grow their skills in data quality assurance within an Agile offshore environment. This is a 100% long term remote opportunity. The candidate should be willing to work in 9 hrs shift anywhere between 11am-11pm IST with an overlap of 3-4 hrs on Pacific time zone.

Core Skills Required: 1-3 years of manual and automation testing experience (any domain) Basic SQL skills (ability to write simple queries for data validation) Understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies

Key Responsibilities

1. Manual and Automation Testing Execution Execute test cases for ETL processes (SSIS packages), reports (SSRS), and database solutions Verify data accuracy by running basic SQL queries (SELECT, JOINs, WHERE clauses) Log defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps and evidence Assist in test data preparation and environment setup

2. Documentation & Reporting Maintain test documentation in Confluence (or a similar repository) Report daily progress to the QA Lead Participate in creating basic test plans under supervision

3. Team Collaboration Work closely with offshore developers to understand requirements Attend daily stand-ups and Agile ceremonies Learn from senior QA team members to improve testing skills

4. Process Learning Gain understanding of client's QA standards and security protocols (VDI, MFA) Begin learning test automation fundamentals (e.G., Selenium, Postman) Support continuous improvement initiatives for productivity gains

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills Nice-to-Have: Exposure to SSIS/SSRS or data warehouse testing Familiarity with Jira/Confluence Awareness of test automation concepts Soft Skills Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking Willingness to learn and adapt in fast-paced environment Basic English communication skills for team collaboration Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Internship or academic projects in software testing ISTQB Foundation Level certification is a plus
