Learning & Development Manager โ Nestology
Nestology is on a mission to make the first three years of parenting calmer, clearer, and more confident for families. As Learning & Development (L&D) Manager, you will design and drive learning journeys that build capabilities both inside Nestology and for the experts and coaches who support parents.
About Nestology
Nestology offers a 360ยฐ ecosystem for parents of 0โ3 year olds, combining structured guidance, routines, play ideas, expert support, and community in one place. As an early-stage startup, Nestology needs thoughtful learning systems so that employees, experts, and partners all work with consistent, high-quality knowledge and practices.
Role overview
As L&D Manager, you will be responsible for understanding development needs, building learning strategies, and rolling out programs that strengthen skills across the organisation. You will work closely with founders, HR, operations, and domain experts to ensure that learning directly supports business goals and parent impact.
Key responsibilities
โ
Identify learning and development needs across teams (product, content, operations, customer support, experts/coaches) through discussions, feedback, and performance insights.
โ
Design and implement an overall L&D strategy and annual learning roadmap aligned with Nestologyโs mission and growth plans.
โ
Create and manage structured onboarding programs for new hires, including culture, product knowledge, tools, and role-specific training.
โ
Develop and coordinate training for experts, coaches, and parent-facing roles to ensure consistent quality, tone, and methodology in how Nestology serves families.
โ
Design or curate learning content: workshops, playbooks, e-learning modules, micro-learning, and reflection sessions.
โ
Implement different learning formats (live workshops, online modules, buddy programs, coaching, job shadowing) based on audience needs.
โ
Track participation, feedback, and outcomes, and measure the effectiveness of learning initiatives with clear metrics.
โ
Partner with managers to create individual development plans and simple career path frameworks for key roles.
โ
Manage relationships with external trainers, partners, or platforms where needed, including budgets and contracts.
โ
Maintain an organised repository of learning resources that employees and experts can access easily.
Requirements
โ
4โ7 years of experience in Learning & Development, training, HR, or related roles; experience in startups, ed-tech, early childhood, or services organisations is a plus.
โ
Strong grounding in L&D fundamentals: needs analysis, program design, facilitation, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
โ
Experience designing and delivering engaging learning experiences for varied audiences (e.g., operations teams, customer-facing roles, specialists).
โ
Excellent facilitation, communication, and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex topics simple and relatable.
โ
Comfort using digital learning tools and platforms, and basic comfort with data to measure learning impact.
โ
Ability to work cross-functionally, manage multiple initiatives, and operate independently in a fast-moving environment.
โ
Genuine interest in people development and alignment with Nestologyโs mission of supporting young families.
What you will gain
โ
A central role in shaping how people at Nestology learn, grow, and deliver impact to parents.
โ
Close collaboration with founders, HR, and functional leaders on culture, capability building, and organisational development.
โ
Opportunity to design L&D from the ground up rather than inheriting rigid systems.
โ
A mission-driven context where better learning directly improves the support families receive.
