Data Engineer - Backend

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Back-end Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in building and operating production-grade data pipelines, with a primary focus on data movement into Databricks and Snowflake.This role is designed for someone who can hit the ground running—you will be expected to contribute immediately without foundational training.

Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines from multiple source systems into Databricks and Snowflake Own backend data movement architecture, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost efficiency Develop and optimize Python and SQL-based transformations Manage and improve pipeline orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring Work closely with analytics, data science, and platform teams to enable downstream use cases Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term fixes Follow engineering best practices including version control, testing, and CI/CD workflows

Required Skills: Hands-on production experience with Databricks (non-negotiable) Strong proficiency in Python and SQL Solid understanding of data engineering fundamentals and pipeline design Experience with Git-based version control Working knowledge of Shell scripting Experience with AWS (data services, storage, compute, or IAM) Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and modern deployment workflows
