Dedicated to creating a positive climate impact, the organization believes in the critical role startups play in building a sustainable and equitable future.
About Climate Challenges
Climate Challenges is CCF’s industry-facing open innovation platform that accelerates industrial decarbonisation by translating priority pain points from hard-to-abate sectors into structured challenge statements, curating solution pipelines (startups + innovators), and enabling adoption pathways (business cases, pilots, partnerships, and ecosystem convenings).
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Associate to help design, manage, and execute programs under Climate Challenges, with a strong focus on industrial decarbonisation domains and program/project management. The role requires comfort working across multiple stakeholders—industry partners, startups, ecosystem organizations, and internal teams—while maintaining high execution quality across timelines, outputs, and reporting
Key Responsibilities
Drive end-to-end program execution: workplans, timelines, deliverables, trackers, and reporting
Support development of industrial decarbonisation challenge statements (e.g., steel/cement/chemicals/industrial heat/energy efficiency) with clear KPIs and data needs
Manage stakeholder coordination across industry partners, startups, and ecosystem organizations (calls, follow-ups, action logs)
Build and manage a startup pipeline: sourcing, screening, shortlisting, and structured documentation of decisions
Support adoption readiness: partner–startup matchmaking, pilot readiness checklists, and early implementation planning
Desired Qualifications & Experience
4–6 years experience in climate/clean energy/industrial decarbonisation/manufacturing/sustainability, with strong program delivery exposure
Demonstrated ability to manage multi-stakeholder programs with clear outputs, timelines, and execution rigor
Experience working with startups / accelerators / innovation programs / corporate-startup engagement is a strong plus
Skills Required
Strong ownership mindset, operational discipline, and reliable follow-through in fast-moving environments
Ability to understand and communicate technical decarbonisation concepts to mixed audiences (industry + startups)
Strong stakeholder management and crisp written communication (notes, trackers, partner updates)
Structured thinking + analytical ability to synthesize information and turn it into actionable outputs
