Hardware Design Engineer (HDE 2)

to join our Hardware Engineering Team at

Thane (Maharashtra – India) .

We are seeking a highly driven and skilled hardware engineer with

5+ years of experience

in schematic design, component selection, simulation, and power analysis. In this role, you will contribute to the complete hardware development cycle and play a critical part in architecting and optimizing the electronics behind our next-generation AR/VR products and smart glasses. Top 3 Daily Tasks:

Lead schematic design for efficient, high-performance, and low-power electronic subsystems used in wearable and immersive devices. Drive component selection, qualification, and BOM optimization balancing performance, reliability, and cost. Run simulations, signal integrity checks, and detailed power analysis to validate and optimize system behaviour.

Role and Responsibilities:

Design digital electronic circuits with high-speed interfaces and microprocessor-based architectures. Implement complex hardware architecture design and build scalable, modular electronic systems. Design scalable and modular electronic circuits with efficient assembly planning. Define performance parameters for Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), Thermal Analysis, and Load Analysis for SoC-based systems. Design boards as per EMI/EMC certification requirements and support compliance validation. Define and document power system architecture and specifications. Support vendor selection and drive component evaluation and qualification. Design and test circuits and firmware interfaces for static and dynamic power systems. Work hands-on with SoCs, ASICs, sensors, and mixed-signal systems. Perform board bring-up, debugging, validation, and lab testing activities. Collaborate closely with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams for full system integration.

Minimum Work Experience Required: 5–8 years of hands-on experience in hardware design, preferably in consumer electronics, embedded systems, wearables, AR/VR devices, or high-performance embedded platforms.

Top 5 Skills You Should Possess:

Strong expertise in schematic design and multi-layer PCB design fundamentals. Experience with Qualcomm / NXP / TI microprocessor-based designs. Proficiency in high-speed interfaces such as DDR4, MIPI CSI/DSI, USB 3.0, Type-C Alt Mode. Strong fundamentals in Analog, Digital, and Power Electronics concepts. Experience in signal integrity, power integrity, power budgeting, and thermal considerations for SoCs.

Technical Expertise:

Hands-on with Cadence OrCAD Capture, Component Builder, Allegro PCB Designer. Experience with PSpice, LTspice, Cadence Sigrity SI (High-Speed Option) and other simulation toolboxes. Knowledge of communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, I2S. Expertise in transmission line theory and high-speed PCB design principles. Experience in collaborative electronics design workflow and mixed-signal circuit design. Good to have exposure to Altium PCB Designer Suite workflow. Skilled in soldering small components and working with oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and lab tools.

Full-Stack Awareness you should possess a working understanding of: PCB layout constraints, stack-up planning, DFM/DFT practices Hardware–firmware interfacing and embedded system considerations Reliability testing, environmental validation, and compliance standards (EMI/EMC) Low-power and battery-powered architectures
