Job Description
Given the rapid growth in the Ed-tech sector, our client aims to transition into the next phase of growth by leveraging new-age technology to offer differentiated products with world-class delivery. They are seeking to build and define key leadership roles in the Technology area. These leadership positions require a future-ready, dynamic tech professional experienced in high-growth environments and comfortable in a VUCA culture, with excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership across technology verticals: K-12, Higher Education, and Corporate Learning.
2. Manage teams and budgets, and potentially oversee P&L and strategic clients.
3. Collaborate with peers to meet organizational goals.
4. Lead application development and maintenance projects.
5. Manage software development and IT teams to deliver user-centric solutions.
6. Ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
7. Oversee internal systems like Infoweb and ensure accurate revenue recognition.
8. Review and coordinate new custom technology projects.
9. Build positive relationships with customers and manage scope changes to generate revenue.
10. Analyze and troubleshoot delivery issues promptly.
Team and Customer Delivery:
1. Oversee daily activities of the delivery team, providing guidance and direction.
2. Serve as the primary contact for customer concerns, offering solutions.
3. Prioritize customer orders and adjust schedules to meet delivery goals.
4. Make critical business decisions in consultation with CDO/CTO.
5. Manage service performance to meet SLAs and contractual obligations.
6. Drive operational accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
7. Partner with sales, key account management, and product teams to identify new business opportunities.
8. Act as the escalation point for operational issues.
9. Guide complex projects involving content and technology.
10. Recommend process improvements internally and for clients.
11. Promote technical innovation, best practices, and delivery excellence.
Leadership and Communication:
- Lead global teams, adapt to growth, and navigate unstructured thinking.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams, external partners, and US offices.
- Work effectively with both front-end (US) and back-end (India) teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 17+ years of experience in technology roles, including as a technical architect.
- Proven experience in application development and maintenance projects.
- Experience in Agile-SCRUM environments using tools like Jira.
- Experience working with international customers (preferably US and UK).
- Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Relationship-building, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
- Motivated, organized, with excellent problem-solving skills.
